We exist to support Sherpa communities within Nepal and the surrounding regions by providing access to food, shelter, healthcare, education, and other opportunities that might not otherwise be available.
Rob Marshall, an avid climber, is no stranger to the villages of the Sherpa people in the Himalayan region near Mt. Everest in Nepal. Over the course of many years, Rob has forged long-lasting friendships with the people that make his passion a reality. Rob has seen first hand, the devasation of natural disasters such as earthquakes and avalanches.
Now, with a worldwide pandemic essentially shutting off all financial resources to an already poor region, Rob knew he had to do something.
So, Rob partnered with his daughter Katie (Marshall) Abrams and friend Russ Renbarger to build an international coalition of support for his friends across the globe.
Today, the Sherpa Support Foundation feeds thousands of people each month and provides education for children across the Sherpa villages of eastern Nepal.
